Passages is a public space installation that aims to connect intimately people in different cities. This installation presents the random passer-by with a moving and transiting experience where he/she has to engage the entire body to uncover the possibilities of a relationship with a stranger.
A video documentation presents the project as it was working at the Media Lab Europe in Dublin and shows the interaction principles:
See also the Media Lab Europe presentation page “A very close proximity media space”.
Céline Coutrix’s internship report on the project is an extensive project documentation with a detailed look at related and/or inspiring work.
The installation has been exhibited among others during the Nuit Blanche 2005 between Festival Emergences in Paris and Les Nuits Electroniques de l’Ososphère in Strasbourg.
